Valentine's Day Wall Art
Hey there!
Art work is so expensive to purchase and so difficult to make. It requires a ton of products and the supplies are so hard to find. If I were you, I'd just not even bother.
Not really.
Remember in my Valentine's haul, I said I was going to do something special with the Valentine's cards? This is it. I'm making wall art!
I made wall art for Christmas and it worked out so well that my aunt wandered off with one of my framed pieces (I told her it was okay). People liked the holiday art so much, I decided I needed to do the same thing for Valentine's Day.
I picked 2 really pretty Valentine's Day cards and 2 picture frames with mattes included. I made sure that the color of the frame didn't clash with the cards. Oh, and where did I get most of my supplies? You guessed it -- the Dollar Tree.
I wanted my first piece of framed art to have a decorated matte. So, I took ribbon and used my Scor-tape to adhere it around the plain matte. Because my card was smaller than my matte, I added some red paper behind the card to catch where the matte gaps.
For my second wall art piece I wanted to go simple. I just backed it against red paper and added pink and red glitter heart stickers.
I think that both art pieces are super cute and such an inexpensive way to decorate your house. You can put them on your bookshelf or mantle piece. I took the cookie art piece and put it in my bedroom and the cupcake art piece went into my kitchen!
You know that you don't have to just use Valentine's Day cards. You can find cute bags or even wrapping paper or scrap paper to frame. Any cute design is able to be framed. All you have to do is use your imagination.
