Happy 2018 - Is Your Planner Ready?

Hey there!

Happy 2018! I hope everyone had a fantastic holiday. Now that we have turned the page on 2017, it's time to start getting things in gear for 2018.

I have seriously neglected my Happy Planner the past few months. I’ve planned and budgeted but I haven’t always put things into the planner. So, one goal for this year is to use the planner. Before I begin using it, I need to get it ready.

My Happy Planner is an 18 month planner that I purchased in April for July 2017 - December 2018. I added the expander pack so I could begin using my planner in April. My planner originally came with black binder rings but I bought another set of rings so that I’d have more room in planner. So, I ripped out the 2017 pages.

Ok, I didn’t rip the pages out. I took them out and put them in my old rings. Then my 2018 planner was ready. Look at the amount of pages I took out!!

I decided that I wanted to make my own cover. I just took some pretty paper, added 2018 and some stars and quotes and then I covered it with clear contact paper. I do have a laminating machine but I find it so easy to just use the contact paper. It’s sturdy and I don’t have to wait for anything to heat up!

Now that my planner is ready, all I have to do is write in my bills and add some appointments.

Oh, and decorate! Go to town decorating. Enjoy yourself. I use stickers that I get from everywhere -- Dollar Tree to Michaels. I don’t discriminate when it comes to planner stickers. I also use paper pads to decorate my planner.

The main thing is that you plan. It doesn’t matter the brand of the format, just plan.
