Making Easy Easter Cards

Hey there!

I can’t believe it but we only have a few weeks until Easter! That means Easter decorations, baskets and cards need to be made quickly! Luckily I have a container full of Easter embellishments that I can use.

I always start with cards because they have to be mailed out. I normally use my 4” X 5” card base but this time I’m going to use my larger ones from Hobby Lobby. They are 5” X 6 1/2”.

I pulled three cut apart sheets that I wanted to use. I pulled two “Hello Easter” sheets from Echo Park and one “Hop” from PhotoPlay. I knew that three cut apart sheets would give me a lot of cut aparts to use. I had 27 total which is plenty for Easter cards as well as a few other projects.

Of course, I pulled out all of my stickers from Dollar Tree, Michaels and Hobby Lobby. I get most of my stickers at the end of each season so that I don’t have to pay full price. That’s why you see so many stickers here.

Making each card was pretty easy. All of the cards got double mattes. I accomplished this by pulling paper from my stash. I didn’t purchase special easter paper. I just used what I had that matched the springtime colors in my Easter cut aparts. Pastels in yellow, green, blue and pink are perfect.

Half of the work was accomplished by using the cut apart sheets. If you can run into your local craft store and grab a few sheets for a dollar or two, you can make all the cards that you need for your friends. If you can’t get to a craft store, look online for some images and use those. That’s limitless cut aparts for you to use.

There isn’t a right or wrong way to make your Easter cards. Add ribbon or faux flowers or gemstones to your cards. If you don’t have sentiment stamps or stickers, use your pastel colored markers. Just hop to it!
