Spring Tag Book

Hey there!

I love a good tag flipbook. They are so quick and easy to put together. Once you put it together that’s when the fun begins.

But let’s back up. I use to have to trace an older tag and cut out 4 or 6 pages for decorating. But I decided to invest in a new toy and get the Graphic 45 Large Tag and Metal Dies (purchased with my own money, not sponsored). I mean, if I’m making a lot of tag flipbooks, it only makes sense, right?!

I die cut pages from my DCWV Flower Shop paper pad. This paper pad is an older one but it exudes Spring and the bright, bold colors that you want in a Spring time flipbook.

I used both the large and small tag from the set and die cut 6 large pages and 4 small pages. I sandwiched them between manila cardstock for strength.

Here’s a crafty means to an ends. I know that I’m going to need reinforcers. There are metal ones that you can use but in a punch, use a small circle punch and then a larger circle punch to create one. I used my 5/8” punch and my 1” punch to create reinforcers. Then I doubled them for strength.

I created a few 3” x 3” photo spots for the larger tags. I used a mix of photo only pages and photo and journaling spot pages.

The smaller tags are really for decoration. You could certainly create a spot for a 2” x 2” photo but most people don’t have that size photo. Instead, I added flower stickers and other embellishments from my stash.

I used a book ring closure for my tag book. It gives more space for opening and closing the book. And, if I decide to add more picture tags, I have plenty of room to do so.
