More Mother's Day Albums

Hey there!

Mother’s Day is fast approaching and my last blog post showed the Mother’s Day Albums that I created for some of the mothers in my life. I mentioned that I used Fashionista paper pads from Recollections instead of the flowers that you normally see for Mother’s Day cards. Once I thought about it, I decided that maybe some of the mothers that I know might like the original floral motif. So, I went ahead and created a few albums with them.

I used two of my Graphic 45 paper pads. I had a few pages left in my Portrait of a Lady paper pad and a new pad (for me) Artisan Style. They both have beautiful papers inside that fit the floral, scrolled, highly decorated motif. The color schemes in both paper pads are very similar; sea foam green, antique creams, soft peaches, blush pink and soft sea glass blues.

I created my album to fit pages that I had cut out from the Portrait of a Lady paper pad. I created a 6 ½” X 4 ⅛” album. It meant that I could have a matte effect with my 4” X 6” cutouts.

I chose to not have a photo matte in this album. I wanted to use my “Beauty begins…” cutout and my “Elegant Lady” journal spot. I thought that the person getting this album would appreciate that instead of a photo spot. You always have to remember when making cards for specific people, think about what they’d like to have and what they are most apt to use.

I’m just as proud of these albums as the Fashionista albums. I think that it is great that you can use all types of paper pads to create Mother’s Day card.

You still have time! What type of card have you created for the mothers in your life?
